Hi, I'm Rebecca Pitts, founder of Hudson + Daughter.
I write and make stuff for kids and kids at heart. In 2014, after a decade of working in museums, libraries, and archives, I opened the virtual shop doors of Hudson + Daughter in 2014 to share the things I make, sell my work, and to connect with a community that values making and the handmade. I live in a small village in the Hudson Valley just up the river from Manhattan with my husband, son, and daughter.
Custom Nursery Decor + Family Heirlooms
What started as a few sketches during my daughter's nap time turned into the first collection, Bespoke Bamboo, custom nursery decor and family heirlooms commissioned by you for the people you love.
I made it official by opening the virtual shop doors of Hudson + Daughter in 2014, and in 2015 we welcomed our son into the world.
It has been a joy to be able to share the things I make, sell my work, and to connect with readers, writers, artists, and makers. And, such a ride to be growing a small business out of my home while raising two little ones.
Hudson + Daughter for the Martha Stewart American Made Market
The Hudson + Daughter studio space is based out of my family's home in a small village just up the river from Manhattan. I am whole-heartedly committed to sourcing and using only sustainable, eco-friendly materials. All goods are American-made in New York, gift-wrapped and ready to share with the people you love, and shipped in plastic-free, recycled packaging.
